The fastest route
from the M6 to Whitehaven is to exit at Junction 40. Take the
A66 towards Keswick - Cockermouth - Workington.
From the south
a slower, but much more scenic, route can be taken by exiting
the M6 at junction 36 and following the A591 towards Kendal -
Windermere - Keswick and then the A66 towards Cockermouth and
Workington.
Approaching Workington, take the A595 signposted Whitehaven.
Pass the first exit to Whitehaven (at BP garage) and take the
second signposted turning on the right to Whitehaven (at traffic
lights) - Glenfield is located approximately ½ mile on
the right-hand side.

Ample unrestricted on-street
parking is available immediately opposite Glenfield.
Glenfield is located
ten minutes from Whitehaven harbour making it perfect, luxury
accommodation in preparation for the sea to sea (C2C) long distance
cycle ride. Even closer is Corkickle station which is only a
few minutes train journey to St Bees and the start of the Wainwright
coast to coast walk.
A bus stop (services 17 and 30) is located
immediately outside Glenfield's front gate, with very regular
services.
