The lounge is an impressive Victorian room with ample, comfortable seating and lovely, exposed wooden flooring.

The Victorian features are well preserved and, together with the open fire, provide real homely comfort. Ample upholstered seating is available with a comfortable suite and pleasant window seat.

Digital television and a DVD player are available.

Full residents' licence is provided with a drinks cabinet, wines and spirits, and a range of local beers from the Bitter End Brewery at Cockermouth. If the owners are not present an honesty bar is provided and Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. Glasses are provided and there is no corkage charge, or any other hidden charges.
