Wasdale and Eskdale

This motoring tour takes visitors to two of the most striking valleys in England and both can easily be enjoyed in a single day’s visit.

Wasdale is spectacular with towering peaks and a feeling of a real wilderness surrounding the moody Wastwater.

Whilst impressive walks can be undertaken into the high fells from Wasdale Head equally rewarding low level walks of amazing beauty can be experienced from the Nether Wasdale area.

Eskdale is completely different. The beauty here is subtle and idyllic with lovely mountain rivers with crystal clear waters, delightful woodlands and one of England’s loveliest miniature steam rail journeys.
